Lismore Road Launches Inaugural DC>NEXT Program

We’re proud to announce the first edition of DC>NEXT at DC/DOX 2026, presented by Lismore Road.

DC>NEXT is a special educational initiative designed to introduce Washington, DC high school students to the power of documentary storytelling through film screenings, filmmaker conversations, and immersive festival experiences.

The program invites students into the heart of the festival for a curated film program selected from the DC/DOX lineup for its resonance with young audiences and engagement with urgent issues including identity, history, media, culture, and social change. Each screening is paired with conversations featuring filmmakers and creative teams, offering students insight into the artistic process and the role nonfiction cinema can play in shaping public understanding and civic dialogue.
